Marvin's Seafood: Fresh & Delicious Seafood in North Charleston

The food was great! The staff was very friendly and polite. Highly recommend this place for all your seafood needs.

I was nervous to drive all the way here (40 min) because I couldn’t get them on the phone and I wasn’t sure if they were steaming blue crabs today but I made the drive and I’m glad I did! The crabs were very meaty and a nice size and steamed to perfection!

We've been coming by a few times a month for crabs and other fresh seafood over the last year, and cannot be more pleased with our service and quality each time! My 4 year old son really looks forward to making the drive out to "Mr. Marvin's for crabbies". Everyone is so nice and helpful. Please come out and support this place as these types of establishments are what make Charleston beautiful and we need to support them as much and as often as possible!

I received 2 dozen crab. The service was great and the prices were amazing. Coming from south Geoegia and getting such a great deal on some delicious crab was awesome. Keep up the great work.

We ordered a dozen and a half steamed mixed crabs with mild garlic seasoning and were exceptionally happy with the results. Our mixed crabs included 12 male crabs and 6 female crabs, significantly more male crabs. They were overall very meaty and tasted extremely fresh in comparison to the larger seafood restaurants nearby. The female crabs also had roe and were delicious paired with the mild garlic seasoning. At 34 dollars a dozen these Charleston blue crabs were extremely fairly priced for their freshness and weights. The staff is also very nice and helpful in choosing explaining the seasoning and other items on the menu. I would recommend calling ahead of time to understand the wait time for steamed crabs as ours took over two hours during the busy day.

Thrilled to discover this market & restaurant serving a fantastic variety of fresh local seafood. Off the beaten path in an old low-rent neighborhood, an eager crowd of people huddle at the entrance and in a long line that trails into the parking lot. The wait is sooo worth it! Our fried oysters, scallops, fish, fries & hush puppies were absolutely out of this world with crispy light breading perfectly seasoned. The friendly staff helped us pack a half bushel of live oysters for our 4 hour drive home. Will definitely return every time I drive through North Charleston!

Marvin’s Seafood is always my go-to spot for seafood every time I visit Charleston from Georgia. I am never disappointed! The fresh shrimp and a bushel of oysters my go to!!! A huge thank you to the entire team who work so hard to keep things moving, even with the long lines, while still maintaining such high-quality service. Their dedication and hard work truly show. Wonderful place. Always crowded, but the line moves really fast. People are always so nice!! Best live crabs in Charleston.
